Interpretation

- METAL (IRON) Colour: orangey-brown. Shape: Fragments 1 & 2 are strap like in shape but with many protrusions caused by corrosion. Fragment 2 has 2 sections on one side that resemble a thin layer of wood. Fragments 3 - 15 are irregular in shape and size. Surface: mostly rough and irregular. Weight = #1 - 38g; #2 - 24g; #3 - 6g; #4 - 2g; #5-15 - 1g (total) Dimensions = #1 - 85 x 32 x 16mm; #2 - 75 x 30 x 13mm; #3 - 32 x 19 x 17mm; #4 - 19 x 16 x 9mm; #5-15 all smaller (min 8 x 7 x 4.5mm)
