Registered Find Basics

Interpretation

    • BAG 1 = METAL (IRON) Colour: orangey-brown. Shape: irregular. #1 resembles a piece of coal in overall shape. #2 has 2 protruding parts that resemble fragments of attached nails. #3 resembles #1 but is flattened and strap-like. Surface: rough and irregular (all fragments). NOTE #1 broke in 2 when being rebagged. Weight = #1 - 76g; #2 - 15g; #3 - 12g; #4 - 1g; #5-14 - 3g (total) Dimensions = #1 - 62 x 50 x 32mm; #2 - 40 x 31 x 17mm; #3 - 37 x 29 x 10mm; #4 - 22 x 13 x 7mm; #5-14 all smaller (max 7 x 5 x 4mm) BAG 2 = METAL (IRON) Colour: orangey-brown. Shape: main shape is strap-like but with protrusions that appear to be the result of corrosion. Both fragments are broken off at one end showing that both fragments are flattened and cylindrical and of a double layered construction. Surface: rough and irregular. Weight = #1 - 31g; #2 - 5g Dimensions = #1 - 68 x 39 x 19mm; #2 - 20 x 24 x 11mm
