Interpretation

    • Comb fragment. Beige in colour. 38 x 18.5 x 3mm, 2g. Flat. Fragment suggests that there used to be comb teeth on both sides; those on one side are completely missing with only grooves present at one end; on the other side some partial teeth remain. At far end the tooth is 6mm wide and unbroken. End of comb has diagonal lines carved on both sides. One side has possible runes carved with a very narrow instrument.
