Registered Find Basics

Interpretation

    • All are orange-brown in colour. Identified as Lock Plate. Iron - #1 Generally flat and thin with a number of protrusions due to corrosion. One hole 30 x 10mm in middle of object and one 8 x 3mm hole close to edge. #2 - generally flat and thin with protrusions due to corrosion. #3 triangular in shape, but distorted due to corrosion. #4 - resembles a hook attached to a fragment of a base plate. #1,#2 and #3 consist of thin (1mm) sheet metal that has been folded over on itself. Wood - #5 - irregular shape. One side appears to consist of wood. the other side is less distinctive/identifiable.Weights - #1 - 364g; #2 - 57g; #3 - 11g; #4 - 8g; #5 - 3g. Dimensions - #1 230 x 145 x 36.5mm; #2 76 x 46 x 43mm; #3 33 x 31 x 20mm; #4 38 x 25 x 19.5mm; #5 21 x 20 x 10.5mm
