Narrative

    • Northwest-Southeast aligned linear ditch visible in the base of a slot against the eastern baulk of TR2(W). This feature was first observed in the 2021 season as the stratigraphically earliest feature in the trench. It extends beyond the current LOE in both length and width. No dateable finds were recovered from the feature in 2021, however two graves, F298 and F708, clearly truncate the ditch and must post-date it. More investigation is needed to determine the true character and function of the ditch.
