Narrative

    • A stone lined box. The sides and base of the cut where lined with clay, this is possibly to waterprof the box, perhaps it held water (a font?) or it was to support the stones (2334 - base, 2114 - sides) (a cross base?). When the box fell of use it was infilled with rubble (2329). Later burial F228 was buried on top of the box and burials F234 and F280 where buried next to the box.
