Narrative

    • Northeast-Southwest aligned burial containing SK2313 lying on its right side, located near the eastern baulk of trench 2 (West) and cut into ditch F707. The entirety of the feature was not fully exposed as it partially extended beyond the LOE, but what was visible of the skeleton was lifted in the 2021 season. The alignment of this grave is so far unique to trench 2 (west) and may suggest a different phase of the cemetery's use. This grave clearly cuts ditch F707 which is stratigraphically the earliest feature revealed in trench 2 (west) to date.
