Narrative

    • Possible east-west aligned burial in the central southern area of trench 2 (west). This burial was highly disturbed and only a skull and a long bone survived, both of which were lifted. Upon excavation, another skull was exposed (F253) beneath the lifted bones, but further excavation would be necessary to establish any relationship between these features. Given this feature's proximity to other graves nearby also within the same graveyard soil (2164), it is possible that it is broadly contemporary with the others, although no associated cut and fill were visible.
