Narrative

    • The top of a damaged skull (SK2195) was exposed in the southern area of trench 2 (west) but was not investigated any further. A partial jaw was observed containing unerupted teeth, suggesting a juvenile. Given its proximity to other graves nearby also within the same graveyard soil (2164), it is possible that it is part of an articulated grave itself and broadly contemporary with the others, although no associated cut and fill were visible. Further investigation would be necessary to confirm if this was indeed an in situ grave.
