Narrative

    • East-West aligned partially exposed adult skeleton approximately 1.04m long and 0.36m wide. This skeleton was revealed upon excavation of a slot in the eastern section of Trench 2 (West). The cut appeared to be very close to the body and most of the skeleton was exposed, but some of it extended into section and was not fully excavated. The grave fill was similar in nature to the layer it is cut into - containing additional charcoal flecks and some small stones. The grave itself appeared to cut a small sub circular feature, but this was not excavated and could not be confirmed.

    • The visible portion of the skeleton within the trench was exposed and lifted as of the 2021 field season. The aforementioned small sub circular feature was not observed upon the removal of the skeleton.
