Short Description:
Thin burnt limestone layer at base of Limekiln
Issued to
Ben Swain | 10/10/2023

Interpretation

    • Burnt limestone fill of limekiln - likely the remnant of the lime left at the base of the limekiln after firing. This material is probably the same as 2350, observed in another slot into the limekiln. It caps a burnt soil of black and red which represents the true base of the kiln.
