Short Description:
Skeleton within grave 2543 truncating ditch F707
Issued to

Interpretation

    • Skeleton of an individual in grave [2543] lying W-E on its right side with the head at the west in the early christian tradition. This grave was cut into ditch F707 and was part of a sequence of graves truncating this earlier, likely late prehistoric, feature. The grave will form part of one phase of the long lived cemetery in TR2W. The fact it is lying on its side suggests it is perhaps of an earlier phase. The ankles and feet were missing from this individual due to excavation damage.
