Short Description:
Cut of grave containing SK2515
Issued to
Ben Swain | 15/09/2023

Interpretation

    • Cut of a grave aligned W-E with the head at the west in the early christian tradition. The skeleton within this grave was missing its head and the upper right shoulder due to truncation by limekiln F217. The grave itself appears to have been cut into graveyard soil 2134, although the cut itself was not fully visible due to the similarity with the surrounding soil matrix. It appears to be buried alongside wall F722, though does not truncate it.
