W-E aligned Skeleton within grave [2517], F732

Interpretation

    • Skeleton, aligned E-W with head at the west in the early christian tradition. This skeleton was missing the skull and the top of the right shoulder due to truncation by limekiln F217 during its construction.

  • Supine extended, upper body twisted over to its right side
  • Head missing
  • extended down parallel to and alongside the left arm at the pelvis and right hip joint

  • the bone was generally in a very good condition, apart from the missing areas.
