  • In real life I am an archaeology graduate at Cardiff University. As I am currently beginning work on my dissertation, that's basically all I do with my life--postgraduate students don't have time for social lives
  • I have been on a dig before, but I wanted to get more experience under my belt, particularly something of relevance to my area of study. I stumbled across the Lindisfarne dig through my programme's Facebook page, and was instantly intrigued. I participated in the first year and wanted to come back!
  • The practical experience I’ve gained, the entire dig was great. The friends I’ve made here. The weather wasn’t the best but I still had a great time. Finding the carved stone was probably the highlight. It was not as big a deal as the one last year, but it was still pretty exciting
