  • I am a student at Richard Hush College in Somerset, studying A-Levels in Geology, Maths and Physics. I am also taking an AS qualification in Archaeology.
  • I wanted to support this dig since its my intention to apply for a degree course in scientific archeology. The degree course at Durham particulary appeals to me and I know the university has links with the digs at Lindisfarne, so this seemed a great opportunity. I also wanted the opportunity to gain field / digging experience as this will hopefully aid me when applying to universities. Lindisfarne seemed a good choice to gain this experience as I have visited Holy Island several times when on a family holiday and have become very interested in its history - particually that if the early monastery and it's Viking connections.
  • Enjoyed everything in general, especially the digging itself
