- My boys are obsessed with history and any spare moment is spent in the regions museums, digging in our garden for finds, questioning metal detectors or watching historical documents.. Disney is out but the Huns, Romans or Barbarians are definitely in at our house! Last time we were on the island we spent two days searching for glass bottles and bits of iron which look like they had been part of a Victorian rubbish dump. Doing this dig is a Dream day out for us and will be the highlight of our Summer
