Narrative
-
- An early Med/possibly Anglo-Saxon structure. Two wall foundations consisting of roughly hewn stone run N-S and E-W. No construction cut was evident during excavation, as the masonry was not fully excavated, but the construction of the wall suggests that the foundations were cut into a terrace within earlier deposits. A clay consolidation layer (1016) has been laid down to stabilise the structure during construction.
