Interpretation

    • Fragment of worked antler. Sawn flat plate with rounded end. Partial holes have been drilled/pierced through the object. Perhaps scale handle from strip-tanged implement – if so, then 13th century date or later (Goodall 1990, 838; cf. MacGregor, Mainman and Rogers 1999, 1972-3, Fig.28)
