Interpretation
-
- Sand and silt built up into a layer between 3034 and 3037. Very few pieces of pottery, but those that were found appear (to a reasonably uniformed eye) to be late or even post medieval.

Description
- Firm
- Mid greyish brown
- Sandy silt
- 10% small (<30mm3) sub-angular stones. Very infrequent shells (muscles, sea snails and limpets). Several small patches of root activity.
- Length 1.360m Width 2.11m Depth unknown, not fully excavated
- Overlies and between the cracks in flagstones 3036.
- Trowel. Upper surface (5mm) was extremely friable and dry due to exposure to sun and wind.
