Interpretation

- Silting fill of recut ditch 2505 F707 containing small to medium sized sandstone pieces. This fill, concentrated on the western edge of the ditch, may have occurred as a result of stones washing/rolling into the ditch as it silted up.

Description
- Moderately compact
- Dark orangey brown 7.5YR 4/4 Brown
- Clay
- Frequent inclusions of small top medium sized sub angular snadstone pieces, charcoal flecks. 20% gravel inclusions that consists of a mix of limestone and sandstone up to 13cm.
- L - W - T -
- This may have been the same event as context (2555) with the only separation between contexts coming from the percentage of inclusions, no clear boundary.
