Interpretation
-
- Fill of grave 2549 F737 containing SK2561. This material was rich in charcoal/burnt clay/metallurgical debris relating to the use of the metalworking pit/hearth through which the grave truncates. This material was likely excavated out of the original in-situ metalworking hearth before the body was inserted and the same material used to backfill the grave.

- very dark greyish brown
- clayey silt
- very frequent charcoal pieces/flecks/burnt clay. Occasional copper droplets and possible hearth lining.
