Interpretation

- This layer likely represents the uppermost fill of ditch F707 beneath wall F722 into which that wall is slumping. This context was not fully excavated in 2023 and was initially investigated simply to prove that the wall was indeed slumping into the ditch.

- 2024 update: this layer was indeed confirmed to be the upper fill of ditch F707 just to the south of wall F722 in a new intervention started in the 2024 season.
