Short Description:
Rubble layer at north end of trench 2's extension, outside the building, possibly the fill of a grave
Issued to
Martin Braddock | 14/09/2018
Interpretation
-
- A line of large worked stones as appeared slightly out of line with the North-South wall of the building but forms an L shape with the west-east wall, possibly an extra room/annex. Reappearance of clay deposits at Northwest corner of trench forming what appears to be a circular feature. This possible pit seems to be in line with the other two possible features (oven and line kiln). Maybe evidence of multiphase production as wall does seem to cut through the oven.
