Short Description:
Semi circle of stones in NW of trench 2 West
Issued to
Michael Eden | 16/09/2018

Interpretation

    • Lining of an oven
      • Katherine Briggs
    • 16-9-2018
    • This context was a deposit of what appeared to be sea cobbles, or water worn cobbles as opposed to the other more angular rubble cobbles seen in the area. They were removed in the 2020 season as we were cleaning the area around the cut of F217 and the grave F233.

    • No longer think it's an oven lining, probably just a deposit/dump of stones
