- Light brownish grey
- Silty clay with chalk
- V. Freq. chalk
- approx 8m in length 0.27m thick width of trench
- Chalk layer at SW end of trench dated tot he mid-16th Century through the pottery finds. Possible layer of packing for trackway/entrance.
- Dry, warm trowel mattock shovel
