  • V. Freq. chalk
  • approx 8m in length 0.27m thick width of trench
  • Chalk layer at SW end of trench dated tot he mid-16th Century through the pottery finds. Possible layer of packing for trackway/entrance.
  • Dry, warm trowel mattock shovel
