Narrative

    • Masonry block mortared within corner of drawbridge pit. From historic photos it looks like a path went over the NE corner of the drawbridge pit. Though the drawbridge pit has completely infilled by the Victorian period it is assumed that these stones were roughly motored in place to give structural stability to the path.
