- A layer and possible fill of a foundation cut on the west side of the n-s wall in trench 3. Dark brown grey deposit on the western side of wall in the north of trench 3. Soft friable dark reddish grey brown clayey silt with occasional medium to small stones (rubbly), charcoal flecks, gravel and patches of degraded mortar.

- Cut of a possible foundation cut on east side of wall. Linear roughly respecting the line of the wall except at the north end where it widens with steep sides and a flat base. The break of slope at the top was sharp and the base rounded. A possible foundation cut on east side of wall.
