    • Possible fill of square truncation in wall (4040), not excavated to undisturbed level only 0.30 down so all 2019 backfill. Soft, mid greyish brown, sandy silt.

Narrative

    • A square feature first excavated in the 2019 season and re-excavated in the 2021 season. It appears to be built into wall F401. It might be a posthole where scaffolding was placed, it could be associated with the internal structure of the building, maybe a support beam for the roof?
