Narrative

    • The courtyard of the building defined by walls (1002), (1003) and curtain wall (1008). This pebbled courtyard was located to the north and east of the building and comprised a mix of angular stones, rounded pebbles and gravel packed into a silty sand. The surface was poorly preserved in some areas and was overlain by a layer of demolition rubble (1005).
