    • E-W aligned wall extending from eastern LOE, abutting wall 4040. Dolostone, 0.30x0.20m average size of materials, roughly finished, random coursed, wall foundation, north and south facing, whitish lime mortar with occasional small gravel inclusions.

    • Return of wall 4038. Dolostone/ limestone, Largest - 0.37 x 0.6 and smallest 0.03x 0.10, average 0.26x 0.15 size of materials, combination of roughly hewn and dressed, roughly coursed and limestone mortar bonding, wall foundation, faces are east and west, hard light whitish mortar with very small sub angular stones <5%.
