    • A layer and possible fill of a foundation cut on the west side of the n-s wall in trench 3. Dark brown grey deposit on the western side of wall in the north of trench 3. Soft friable dark reddish grey brown clayey silt with occasional medium to small stones (rubbly), charcoal flecks, gravel and patches of degraded mortar.
