Short Description:
Possible cut of circular truncation in walls (4040) (4027). Circular cut with very steep sides and a flat base. The break of slope at the top and base was sharp.Cuts through wall 4027 and wall 4040.

Interpretation
-
- This is the cut of a circular feature that was made into wall 4027, 4039 and 4040. Its purpose is unknown, however at a later date a blockage was made to form a continuation of wall 4027 and abutting wall 4040 to create a smaller aperture, meaning this feature was adapted for use at a later date. Possible uses could include some form of drain or garderobe chute, alternatively a hole for some form of structural support.
