Short Description:
Soft friable light yellow sand under (4011) capped by burning lens from which a sample was taken. Soft friable, light yellow brown, silty sand, occasional charcoal and small stones.

Interpretation
-
- A sand layer seen in the south of trench 4, it appeared to run under the wall 4047 and 4026. This makes these two walls some of the latest features in the trench. The layer may have been some sort of levelling deposit or foundation layer?
