Short Description:
North South aligned wall in South-West corner of trench 3 - Lower course on slightly different alignment to 3025

Interpretation
-
- We initially interpreted this to be a lower course or foundation course of wall underneath 3025, given the slight misalignment with 3025. Possible different interpretation: the difference between 3025 and 3026 is not an upper and a lower course but rather two different sections of wall on southern end and northern end of feature. This would explain the misalignment on the north end and show a continuous stretch of plastered wall on both courses where it is abutted by 3021 on south side. This interpretation seems more likely?

- Rough faced limestone blocks with light grey limestone mortar and rough rubble core.
- Length; 0.40 Width; 0.38 Thickness; 0.16
- Roughly faced.
- Single course seen on North end of wall. Unevenly coursed
- East facing, west face under trench baulk.
- Some mortar evident
- Length; 1.44 Width; 0.82 Thickness; 0.23
- This wall runs underneath wall 3025 on slightly different alignment. Presumably wall 3021 also abuts this lower course of wall but this relationship is not seen.
