Short Description:
North South aligned wall in South-West corner of trench 3.

Interpretation

    • This wall appears to be a higher course of wall sat directly on top of 3026, though a slight misalignment of courses was seen. Given clear north face, it is presumed this is a later phase of (re)building or that 3026 is this wall's foundation level. The line of wall plaster trapped between the abutting wall 3021 is presumed to run continuously over both 3025 and 3026 though actually we can't say that for sure as this wasn't difinitely seen, and the misalignment of the walls as seen from the north suggests this wouldn't be the case.

    • Possible different interpretation: the difference between 3025 and 3026 is not an upper and a lower course but rather two different sections of wall on southern end and northern end of feature. This would explain the misalignment on the north end and show a continuous stretch of plastered wall on both courses where it is abutted by 3021 on south side. This interpretation seems more likely?
