Short Description:
Cut of large feature that is a possible quarry pit with burning in the upper fills. Rectangular/ovoid pit with steep to vertical sides and base not seen. The break of slope at the top was sharp and the bottom was not seen.

Interpretation

    • Cut of a large pit feature, the pit contained at least 6 contexts. The function of the pit is currently unknown however one hypothesis is that it may be a quarry pit due to the distinct lack of finds within the fills and the fact is was cut through the bedrock.
