Short Description:
A layer and possible fill of a foundation cut on the west side of the n-s wall in trench 3. Dark brown grey deposit on the western side of wall in the north of trench 3. Soft friable dark reddish grey brown clayey silt with occasional medium to small stones (rubbly), charcoal flecks, gravel and patches of degraded mortar.

Interpretation
-
- A layer only seen on the west side of the n-s wall in trench 3. Possibly the fill of a foundation cut however the cut is not seen in the trench. It is quite different from the fill of the foundation cut on the east side of the wall (3009), it’s a lot softer and less biscuity.
