Sample Status

  • The sample of dried 'flots' was collected by the Digventures team in a 150micron mesh seive. these were then scanned by Lisa Gray using binocular stereo-microscopy at 10-40x. The quality of preservation and the diversity and taxa were recorded.
  • Moderate abundance of a low diversity of species with good preservation. One barley/wheat grain, testas of seeds from elderberry (Sambucus nigra), fat hen (Chenopodium album) and Stitchwort/mouse-ear. Segment 2 (500 microns): Light residue - 626g Segment 2 (4mm): Heavy residue - 888g Light residue - 400g Segment 2 (2mm): Light residue - 474g
