- This find was discovered in association with SF87, a post-medieval ceramic jar. The bead is small, round and probably made of stone, possibly sandstone with a centre hole drilled through the middle. The object is circular in plan with a large central perforation. It The form and function of stone beads does not change much over the centuries and as with all things archaeological it all about the context and it most likely that the date of the Post-medieval ceramic jar that it was discovered in will approximately date it
