Interpretation

    • This bone comb dates to the 16th – 18th century. The comb is mostly complete and has teeth on both sides. There is a central solid band from which the teeth come. One side is more delicate, with thinner teeth. The comb has broken at one end. At each there is a section which finishes the comb off although one end is broken.
