- Cu alloy needle/pin
Registered Find Basics
Interpretation
-
- The copper pin originally would have had another pin inserted in it, which is now detached. The pin is hollow, round sectioned and unlikely to be a pin, needle or bodkin which would be expected to be solid and needles and indeed bodkins with elongated sub-oval threading-holes. No parallels have been found for this object and the identification remains unknown and a period is not extent. It is perhaps part of some kind of mechanism later Medieval to Early Modern 1400 to 1900 AD.
