Interpretation

    • Iron object slightly convex on one face and concave on the other with breaks at both termini. The object has been noted in the excavation as a blade. However its form is unlikely to relate to a knife blade and it does not appear to be wrought iron but rather cast and it would seem likely that it is agricultural related probably a component part of machinery. The length is 212mm; the width is 34mm, thickness 8mm and the weight 135.00g.
