Narrative

    • The monastic rere dorter wall (8014) was first built during the monastic use of the site. Originally the rere dorter had a medieval drain leading from it, and the arch of that drain (8013) is still present in the wall. After the dissolution of the monastery, the rere dorter was reused as a farm outbuilding, possibly as a piggery, and a door was cut into the wall (8010).
