    • Topsoil deposit. Mid Grey-Brown, sandy silt with occasional small sub- rounded pebbles. Relatively shallow deposit, barely thicker than the turf, coming straight down on to archaeology with no subsoil. Finds included white porcelain, occasional pieces of slag, oyster shell, and a modern nail.
