Short Description:
Clayey deposit
Issued to

1795

Interpretation

    • this was a very fine yet clear layer found while cleaning the section of trench 28 and during fine troweling after mattocking 28015. The material was very claggy with many large natural rocks and a thick clayey texture as would be expected at the bottom of a flooden pond like feature. It is uncertain wether this was intentionally placed or orignaited as part of a flood event although the presence of severeal pieces of material culture and the absence of similar material on site would back the former interpretation
