Short Description:
Cut Possible post hole
Issued to

1426

Interpretation

    • Cut of possible posthole filled by (14005). This feature was not fully excavated to base due to logistical constraints. A small proportion of the feature was found in the SE corner of trench 14 and evidence of the cut was only seen in the lower deposits. Section LA_33 of trench 14 suggests that the cut was present in higher deposits see deposit (14003) and the remaining clay/mortar lense suggests that this was a primary fill of this cut. Subsequent backfilling, possible excavation and bioturbation have destroyed any higher stratigraphical relationships and therefore the function of this feature is unknown.
