Interpretation

    • This object is a jet sub-spherical bead with a centrally drilled circular hole possibly dating to the medieval period 1250 – 1500 AD. The ends are slightly flatter than the rest of the bead and the body exhibits turning lines from lathe finishing. This appears to be of the same construction and material as SF83 and even though the diameters and weights are slightly different it is conceivable that they could be parts of the same necklace. The suggested date for this object is medieval, 1250-1500 AD.
