Narrative

    • The grave of a large canine [7014] truncated post-dissolution deposits (7007 and 7012), and was likely to have been interred when there was no surface trace of the original building remaining. It was a large, exceptionally well-preserved mature male specimen, with little surface erosion visible on the bones

Dating Narrative

    • Radiocarbon dating of the canine skeleton indicated a date of either 1650-1690, 1730-1810 or post 1920 (Beta-383664).
