Narrative

    • A posthole feature recorded in the eastern trench section, truncated by later wholesale removal of deposits down to foundation level (probably during the early 20th century ‘wall chasing’ excavations). What remained of the posthole cut (14004) could be observed in section, measuring 0.26m in width and 0.30m in depth. It was defined by a sub-rectangular cut filled by yellow brown sandy clay (14005) with a clay/mortar lens evident in the eastern section.

Dating Narrative
